WHO I AM
My name is Laurence Brottier
and I’ve been working as an English-to-French translator for 20 years.
The idea of travelling has always been an ideal for me.
When I left Paris to live in London, Sydney,
and then Hong Kong,
I had life-changing experiences
that set me on a new path.
I’ve chosen to continue travelling on that path
through translation, because each project, each text,
is an invitation to explore new areas, as well as new voices.
The diversity of these experiences
is what makes my career richer, gives meaning to my job,
and motivates me to convey my clients’ messages
with maximum respect for their writing.
I am their French voice.
